I was going to tell you about the latest rotten moment that comes with teaching. There's no need. "Disgruntled parent" is all you need to know.
I'm in the process of applying for graduate school. It's been in the works since I took my first conducting class. I hate teaching from the piano, and I want to make MUSIC! I wouldn't spend another year in my current job anyway, so I've decided that it is time to move on. I've applied to a few different schools. I'll let you know how all of that goes!
I really want to get back into blogging. Some days I just have school stuff to complain about, which I don't think you need to hear. Other days I've been really busy.
I love my current church and the small groups that I am a part of. I am not always able to go on Sundays since I like to visit family back home or in Des Moines. I went yesterday, and it was what I needed to hear. I lead a group of college women on Tuesday nights, and I am a part of a group of 20-something post-college singles on Wednesday night. Add in a Monday night rehearsal that took place from September to late November and you have a good idea of why I don't write much. I love my busy life!
I do not love my job. I never really get angry, except about things at work. I also cry a lot more about my job than I did for a lot of major life events that people typically cry over. I hate that.
Over the past few months I've learned a lot about myself. So much of my inner artistry may never have come to my attention if I had a job that allowed for it. When I realize how limited I am, it makes me yearn for more.

I know what it feels like to be trapped in a job I hate. I hope you can find what you're looking for. Good luck with your applications!
Jacks...this sucks. Don't feel like you're complaining...it's a compliment to your friends that you share your struggles.
Side note...maybe you should seek a short-term job to "cleanse the palate". Maybe something in the warm summertime...with friends...where you could laugh alot, set your own duties and not have to dress up. I'll start looking for you.
Parents just don't understand!
Math is the language of God, and Music is its voice.
Welcome back to blogging.
A Girl on the Go for God.
That sucks. :( I had a job I hated for a while, but they fired me. But I hope that doesn't happen to you.
